Publication Ethics

GEOPOLIS is committed to upholding high standards of publication ethics for all contributors, editors and readers.

Authorship

Only individuals who have made a substantive intellectual contribution to a piece should be credited as authors. Contributions from research assistants or reviewers should be acknowledged where relevant.

Plagiarism & Originality

All submissions must be original work. Plagiarism, duplicate submission, or undisclosed use of generative tools to fabricate sources is not permitted and may result in retraction.

Conflicts of Interest

Contributors must disclose any financial, institutional or personal interest that could reasonably be seen to influence their analysis.

Retraction & Correction

Where a serious ethical or factual issue is identified post-publication, GEOPOLIS reserves the right to correct, annotate or retract the affected piece, with a public notice explaining the change.
